Jeremy Renner: What He Learned From the Snowplow Accident
Jeremy Renner is trying to be “exceptional” following his near-fatal snowplow accident at the beginning of this year. The Hawkeye star penned an emotional message on Instagram Monday (November 7), revealing all of the treatments he’s been undergoing to aid his recovery. “I have been exploring EVERY type of therapy since Jan 14th … everyday,” Renner, 52, wrote in his caption. “Countless hours of physical therapy, peptide injections, iv drips and pushes, stem cell and exosomes, red light / IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunge, and the list goes on and on…”
The father of one continued to say that his “greatest therapy” has been his “mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better…. Be exceptional… I feel it’s my duty to do so. Not to squander my life being spared , but to give back to my family, friends, and all of you whom have empowered me to endure . I thank you all. #loveandtitanium”
As we previously reported, Renner was in “critical but stable condition,” after the incident. He suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and underwent multiple surgeries in the intensive care unit. Back in May, the Marvel star shared how he was taking his “new” body for a “tiny test drive” on social media. Renner posted a video of himself performing exercises, despite his “damn shattered tibia.” He added in his caption: “The body is miraculous…. Even though I feel like the Tin Man, needing oil for all my new joints (hips, knees, ankles, tibia etc ) .”
Last month, he opened up to CNN that he doesn’t keep any “fat” in his life anymore and how he wants to spend his time. “I’m very, very clear. My life is really lean, if that makes sense,” he said. “I don’t have time for that. So, there’s something really beautiful about having that superpower.”
