Brad Paisley Named 2024 ‘Tennessean Of The Year’

Braid Paisley has been named the 2024 Tennessean of the Year. The country star posted the image below to his Facebook page today (4/19) sharing the news of his prestigious honor alongside the 50th Governor of Tennessee, Bill Lee. Completely honored," Paisley captioned the post. According to, "The Tennessean designation, first awarded by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 1982, honors an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to our society through sports or other methods demonstrating strong character and high-profile leadership." Friends, fellow Tennesseans, and fans of Paisley posted the following comments to social media. "Good job buddy!" - Chuck Wicks "Congrats! Well deserved." - Chris Young "Congratulations! Keep shining bright my friend!" - Kristen Kelly "You absolutely deserve this award! You are kind, humble, and a generous man!" Fellow country stars and celebrities previously named 'Tennessean of the Year' include Dolly Parton (2020), Peyton Manning (2016), Kenny Chesney (2011), Hank Williams Jr. (2007), and Vince Gill (1995), among others. Paisley introduced his next album back in October with the release of Sons of the Mountains: The First Four Tracks. The collection of songs includes "Same Here” featuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “So Many Summers,” “Son Of The Mountains,” and “The Medicine Will." “It doesn’t shy away from reflecting real life and real situations going on in America and in our world today. This is what I think country music is about, which is truth,” Paisley said of the album in a press statement. The album is expected out later this year. This Sunday night (4/21), Paisley will hold his second annual ‘Groceries with Dignity, Comedy Without’ at Zanie’s Comedy Night Club. The event, benefitting The Store in Nashville will feature the Paisley and special guests John Crist, Dusty Slay, and more.
