Within the first few minutes of being on stage, Parton announced plans for her Broadway musical, Hello, I’m Dolly, based on her life. The country legend told her fans to expect a 2026 opening for the musical with more information to come.
“This is CMA Fan Fair X. So I was here when it was a A B C. We go back that long. But anyhow, I think about that and think about all the years that I’ve traveled with my fans that has brought me here, and I just wanted to say that I wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t been there. I mean that,” Parton said.
She continued, “That happens to be the name of one of the songs in my new Broadway musical. That musical is going to be called Hello, I’m Dolly. It’s going to come out in 26, and I wrote a lot of original songs for it, as well as all the hit songs that, you know, that they’ve been playing out there.”
If you’re visiting Nashville this week, for CMA Fest, and looking to already book your next trip, or plan to visit in the future, then we know exactly where you’re going to want to stay. Parton confirmed her new hotel, Songteller, is in the works, which will hopefully open its doors in a “couple [of] years.”
“We’re working real hard on that and we’ll let people know more about it. I always wanted a hotel in Nashville (and a museum) here, and I’m very proud of all the things we have to do, and everybody’s always writing and always wanting to know what I’m doing. I always like to let them know. I’m saying, thanks to the fans, hopefully sometime when you come back, you’re staying at the Songteller Hotel,” Parton exclaimed.
