Kelsea Ballerini Will Be Honored In Nashville
Kelsea Ballerini will be honored in Nashville later this month (5/22) as Musicians On Call celebrates its 25th year with the healing power of music to patients, families, and caregivers in hospitals across the country.
The night will feature live performances and appearances by award-winning artists, including Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna Judd, Charles Esten, Tiera Kennedy, Tigirlily Gold, and more.
Golden Ukulele
Ballerini will receive the Music Heals Golden Ukulele, as well as perform during the night. For nearly a decade, the country star has supported MOC as a Volunteer Musician, performing live at the bedsides of patients in Nashville and Phoenix, as well as virtually during the pandemic to bring the healing power of music to those who needed it most.
Musicians On Call President & CEO Pete Griffin said, “An idea that came about during a hospital concert in New York City 25 years ago has evolved into an organization that, while headquartered here in Nashville, has created remarkable moments of joy and healing for hospital patients all over the country. This night is about celebrating the people and songs that have made those moments possible.”
He added, “Kelsea has significantly impacted our mission and the patients we serve. Having such legendary artists join us to honor them, and our organization is the perfect way to mark this milestone.”

Ballerini wants to spread her wings a bit in her career, including acting, in the near future. However, Kelsea tells Flaunt Magazine that she will not appear on her boyfriend Chase Stokes’s Netflix show Outer Banks for one reason.
“Feels Safe”
Kelsea said, “When it comes to my relationship, there’s a beautiful level of him showing up on tour, or at my respective award shows, and me getting to go to set and showing up to his events, where we just get to [be] each other’s support system in person. That, to me, feels really safe.”

Ballerini added that she finally has the confidence to “ask myself, ‘What else?'” In addition to pursuing acting, she noted that she wants to pursue other creative avenues, which she believes will help her evolve as a person.
As her star continues to rise and the interest in her personal life grows, she admitted that she is working on protecting her privacy. She says she doesn’t have it “figured out yet.” One thing she prides herself in is being herself and being authentic. She feels most at home hanging out with her dog, Dibs, in Nashville. She says being normal helps her to feel a bit safer in the “shift of eyeballs” and the “shift of people” wanting to know what’s going on with her.
She concludes that she feels the need to be a little bit more “self-preserved” than she ever has.
