Parmalee Spills the Tea on New Music + 2025 Tour Dates
Parmalee, the country music band from North Carolina, is Kelly Ford’s co-host this week on Backstage Country. Matt and Scott Thomas, Barry Knox, and Josh McSwain shared the details on new music and tour dates.

But absolutely, we have a new album coming out. We’re going to be doing our headlining tour, starting in February. It’s called the Fell in Love with a Cowgirl Tour.”

First Time in Nashville
Ford asked Parmalee about their first time in Nashville. Barry casually revealed they visited strip club the first time they came! Matt chimed in about a hotel where everybody broke could stay and still be close to the important parts of the city for musicians. “So we would just stay at that hotel. We didn’t know anything about going down there.” Josh added, “We just like to support the young ladies.” To which Scott followed up, “And you do what you can.”
Josh went on, “Somebody did tell us about Broadway. They were like, you just walked down the street in Broadway’s right down there, and we started walking down the street and we just stopped at the strip club. That’s as far as we got.” Looks like the band enjoyed their first time in Nashville!
Nashville and the Music Industry
After sharing their exciting first day in Nashville, Ford asked the band about their opinion on the good ways Nashville has changed the industry. Matt contemplated, “The way Nashville has changed for the good is that it’s just been a booming city, to say the least. I mean, it is one of the most exciting cities you can come to in the whole country, in the world. I believe [there] is nothing like it. And there’s so much happening here. There’s so much to do. And if you love music, country music especially, this is it. It doesn’t get any better than this.”
Josh quipped, “And if you want to throw a bachelorette party, yes, you can. This is the place to be!” Oh, Josh.
Tune in to Backstage Country from December 9-15 to hear more about Parmalee’s shenanigans and where to get abalone after midnight in Nashville.
