Riley Green Talks About Latest Album ‘Don’t Mind If I Do’
Riley Green visited Kelly Ford of Backstage Country to talk about his newest album, Don’t Mind If I Do released last October 18, 2024, coincidentally (or not?) on Green’s birthday.
The album title is also his duet song with Ella Langley. According to Green, the collaboration with Langley happened naturally. They had a song before and were on tour together. He admitted that he just asked her to come to the studio and that was it. As Green puts it, “It’s an organic thing that kind of happened by accident.”
His Relationship with “Lukes”
Ford teased Green about his collaboration with “Lukes.” Green shared “Different ‘Round Here” with Luke Combs, which became the title track of his debut album. He admitted he didn’t know if Combs would be interested, “Fortunately for me, he liked the song, and he [was] featured on it, and it became a really big hit for me.”
As for Luke Bryan, he shared, “The first thing I ever did with Luke Bryan when I met him was, we went fishing down at his lake in Tennessee.” He thought “Real Problems” was a fitting song. “I texted it to him and he said, ‘I’m in.’ So, it’s been really cool having a part of this song and watch it just become a hit.”
We are waiting eagerly for the collaboration next with Luke Grimes.
