This Week’s Backstage Country Host: Thomas Rhett
Coming in hot from releasing About a Woman, Thomas Rhett is Backstage Country’s host from August 26-30! The ultimate country crooner and dad of the year (well, according to his daughters) will take over the airwaves for a week.
Your Host, Thomas Rhett: The Man Behind the Mic and the Music
From August 26-30, expect Rhett’s charm and sense of humor to entertain you all week long with behind-the-scenes stories, personal anecdotes, and of course, country music from About a Woman and other great country records. Known as a family man, Rhett will also talk about how grown up his daughters are now (and how they don’t like the sandwiches he prepares) and how he and his wife are “rediscovering” one another.
If you’re a fan (who isn’t?), this is your chance to get up close and personal with Rhett and to learn a bit more about his latest album.
The New Album: About a Woman
Listen to Rhett’s heartfelt, toe-tapping country ode to his wife, Lauren, who is the album’s inspiration. Each note and lyric reflect their deep bond, capturing the essence of their love story that started when they were still teens. Throughout the week, Rhett will be giving the listeners the 411 about his songs, how he successfully got out of “the friend zone,” which of his songs from the album is his favorite (and why!) and how his younger brother is giving him a run for his money as the internet’s newest heartthrob.
Why About a Woman is a Must-Listen
What sets his latest album apart is its authenticity and how Rhett described it as a “very, very, ‘me’ album,” sharing his emotions and experiences, making this album one of his most personal to date. The album consists of 14 relatable songs that feel like they were written just for you. Each track is created with infectious melodies, and you can hear yourself humming them long after the music stops. It has an overall vibe of pure country magic from the first song and keeps you hooked until the last.
