The multi-genre hitmaker joins Kelly Ford in studio all week to talk about his big win at the 2024 ACM Awards, his new hosting duties, upcoming headlining tour, shares some “odd fan experiences,” shares the stories behind some of his biggest hits, and more.
Jelly Roll’s ACM Award win for the Music Event of the Year for “Save Me,” is a song that he says “changed my life and so many others.” The track featuring Lainey Wilson marked their first No. 1 hit together and was released as the second single from Jelly Roll’s Whitsitt Chapel album.
“I get thousands of messages a week talking about how much this song helped people, or how it was played at a loved one’s funeral. I wrote this song with a guy I’ve known since I was in high school. We are both just a couple of poor, misunderstood kids that grew up never thinking we would amount to anything. I wrote this song from the depths of my soul. I’ve always said that music can change the world. One song at a time,” Jelly Roll posted on Instagram.
Backstage Country: Where To Listen
Jelly Roll expressed to Ford that he used the ACM Awards this year to “launch into the next chapter.” The country-rocker debuted a new song titled “Liar” during Country Music’s Party of the Year, which you can watch below.
Jelly Roll will hit the road this summer for this headlining 2024 Beautifully Broken Tour with special guests Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay. He will also perform at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, June 8, during CMA Fest.
