Young produced his ninth studio album alongside Corey Crowder and Chris DeStefano. The country star pointed out that the new collection features 18 tracks, which is his largest album to date. That’s a significant number for him: he’s had his record deal for 18 years.
The album includes songs that are several years old but also ones that are brand new. Young commented on the new album saying, “It was a massive undertaking, but it’s something that I’m really glad people get a chance to hear after I’ve had to sit down and live with it for so long. I’m still so proud.”
Young Love & Saturday Nights follows his 2021 album Famous Friends which featured collaborations with labelmates Kane Brown and Mitchell Tenpenny. Young first introduced the album with the title track and lead single, “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” “Right Now,” and “Double Down.”
“‘Young Love and Saturday Nights’ is one of those songs that I did not write, but I immediately fell in love with. It’s one of very few on the record that I didn’t write but when you hear a song like that, it’s just like, man, this is anthemic,” Young told Ford.
Young will hit the road in April for his headlining ‘Young Love & Saturday Nights Tour’ with special guest Bryan Martin. They’ll kick things off in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 25 and wrap it up on May 18 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
