He’s a busy guy. Bryan has been releasing new music, headlining a tour, hosting the CMA Awards last month, and now, he’s getting ready to get back in the judge’s seat on American Idol. How does Bryan do it all?

When he has an occasional off day or is home for the holidays, he likes to take it quite literally “Southern And Slow.” Bryan recently shared how he’s kept that state of mind while guest hosting Shawn Parr’s Backstage Country.

“And what this song says is exactly what I live. I mean, I just any time I go home for Thanksgiving, I go down to South Georgia.” He continued: “I found out this year that when I pulled in the gate of my farm, I didn’t leave for a week. I never left. I just kept it southern and slow down there. [I was] riding around on the side by side, staring at the Flint River, listening to the quail whistle, watching the deer run through the woods,” Bryan told Shawn Parr.
