Gabby Barrett released her sophomore album, Chapter & Verse, in February (2/2). She took over creative control of the project, co-producing all 14 tracks. She also has nine songwriter credits on the album. The album features background vocals by Luke Combs on the song “Dance Like No One’s Watching.”

Gabby co-wrote a song on the album with Miranda Lambert called “You’re My Texas.” She told us of that song, “When I think of Texas, I think of my husband and raising our babies in this beautiful state that we’re proud to call home. It was my first time really meeting Miranda while writing this song, and I’m thankful that we could bond over our love for Texas.”

She added, “This one just fell out naturally, and I love everything about it.”

During an Instagram chat with fans late last year, Gabby said of Lambert, “Miranda’s awesome. She’s just super laid back and just so chill and nice to be around and very real of a person. Which is really nice to see in the industry, especially as a female being very real and not about the drama and the jealousy and this and that.”

Barrett, who just welcomed her third child, gave Kelleigh Bannen some first-time parenting advice recently. She told her that in the beginning, when you first have the baby, you want everything to just “go perfectly,” but it “needs to register” that it’s not going to go perfectly.”

She added that things would “be wonky,” but that’s how they’re supposed to be and that there’s “no better other mom” to that baby than you. Gabby noted that as a new parent, you will just “get into a groove.”

To celebrate her 24th birthday today (3/5), we gathered five of what we believe is her best music videos to date.

  • "Footprints On The Moon" - (2021)

This beautiful music video features Gabby as a little girl in her bedroom looking out the window and playing guitar. It also shows her in a silhouette and on stage performing with the moon behind her. As in most of her music videos, her husband, Cade, is featured. In this one, he plays guitar behind her on stage.

The song was released as the third single from her debut Goldmine album.

  • "I Hope" (2019)

This is her debut music video and her biggest hit to date. This music video features Gabby singing as well as acting with an actor playing her love interest. It’s one of the few music videos where her husband, Cade, is not playing her love interest.

This song is her debut single and was released in 2019 from her debut studio album, Goldmine. Barrett co-wrote the song, which produced a remix featuring Charlie Puth and was released in April 2020. That version received a Country Music Association Award for Single of the Year nomination at the 54th Annual Country Music Association Awards.

  • "Pick Me Up" (2022)

This music video goes back in time and starts with Gabby playing a character in 1962. Her husband, Cade, plays her love interest in the video that shows the couple cuddling in a pickup truck. As the video progresses, the couple ages, and in the end, Barrett’s character is old in a hospital bed as her husband visits her, bringing her flowers.

The song was one of four new tracks added to the extended version of her debut Goldmine album. Barrett said that she did not really have a song in her repertoire that was laid-back country, and this song fit that bill. She noted it was “a riding down the backroads while listening to George Strait-type of song.”

  • "The Good Ones" (2020)

This video features a couple sharing moments in life. Gabby sings in an empty house throughout the clip as the actors do things like shop at the grocery store, play in the swimming pool and he works in the barn. The clip features Miss Wheelchair USA 2017, Madeline Delp, as a wheelchair-using bride-to-be dreaming of being able to stand and dance with her groom at her wedding.

This amazing song reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and has been certified 3× platinum. It was the sixth-bestselling country song of 2021 in the United States.

  • "Glory Days" - (2023)

This sweet video features her kids at home and her husband having a picnic, as well as her and her husband Cade riding on a four-wheeler. The couple also read the Bible together on their front porch.

Barrett co-wrote this song. When it was released, she said, “I did not want to come out with another mid-tempo or ballad. It’s summer, so I really was eager to release something that was uptempo and fun and make people smile.”
