Gabby Barrett On Welcoming Baby No. 3: ‘It’s Changed My World’

Gabby Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner have welcomed their third child together, a daughter, Ivy Josephine Foehner. The new bundle of joy entered the world in the early morning of Saturday, February 17 at home.

Barrett shared the news via Instagram on Saturday with an adorable photo of Ivy Jo’s precious feet with the caption “Another life to love and cherish. Praising God for his kindness.” The new addition joins her daughter, Baylah May Foehner, and son, Augustine Boone.

“I just love them so much and it’s changed my world in the best of ways. They just make life kind of complete for me and that’s definitely what I’m supposed to be doing is being a mother and, making sure that they are my priority,” Barrett said.

Most recently, the 23-year-old released her highly-anticipated sophomore album, Chapter & Verse, which includes the lead single, “Glory Days,” and “Cowboy Back,” inspired by her wonderful husband. The 14-track collection follows her 2020 platinum debut Goldmine featuring “I Hope,” “The Good Ones,” and “Footprints On The Moon.”

Chapter & Verse, an album three years in the making, tells the story of Barrett’s current chapter in life as a Christian, a mother, a wife, a songwriter, and an artist, along with “all the little verses that happen in between, according to a recent Instagram post.

Barrett continued, “So I’m going to take a little bit of maternity leave for the baby, but then I’ll be popping up in spaces, and then we’re going to do a tour later in the year. Next year, probably like the end of summer into fall we’re going to bang it out and be able to jam with everybody.”

Now, she has a house full of kids, and the singer-songwriter says she wouldn’t trade it for the world. While Barrett continues to make plans for 2024 and share her new album with the world, she says the kids do not steal the joy from any of that.

Barrett released this song independently following her third-place finish on season 16 of American Idol. It led to her signing a deal with Warner Music Nashville. The lyrics of this emotional song say in the song’s chorus, “Everybody says that you can’t ’til you do

This number-one song for Barrett, which she co-wrote, was inspired by her husband, Cade Foehner, and was intended to highlight positive relationships, in contrast to the type of story depicted in “I Hope.” The music video for the song has been viewed a whopping 61 million times.
