Kelsea Ballerini’s GRAMMY Night: Taylor, Tardiness, Torrential Rain
Kelsea Ballerini almost didn’t make it to the GRAMMY Awards last night (2/4) because of all the Los Angeles traffic and the pouring rain. She did not make it for the red carpet at all.
Kelsea posted some images from the event and one video clip of her mad dash to make it in time for the Best Country Album category, which she lost to Lainey Wislon’s Bell Bottom Country.
A rainy video clip Ballerini posted on Instagram shows her with an umbrella as the rain pours, and she’s running to get to the show. She says in the clip, “We got out we’re walking so we don’t miss the award. It’s pouring, and I think my boobs are out. My dress is soaked, my shoes are soaked, but we’re gonna make it. Oh god, I gotta go.”
Before the show, Kelsea also posted a video clip of herself before the show with her friend in a bath robe, jumping on the bed in the hotel with a bottle of wine. Her mother says, “It’s the night of the Grammys,” and Ballerini quips, “Mom, don’t narrate it!.” See that NSFW post here.

Before she got to the show, Kelsea posted a video clip to her Insta Stores, talking while her friend applied brush makeup. She says she doubts she would make the show. She said, “It’s turning outside, traffic is in gridlock, and we’re not gonna make the red carpet. Maybe we’ll make the show, hopefully by the award. What are you gonna do? You’re just gonna vibe; we’re just vibing,”
She added, “This record’s (Rolling Up The Welcome Mat) about things not panning out how you thought they would, and this is God herself being like, ‘Remember?'” She pauses and has an emotional look before saying, “It’s fine.” She rolls her eyes and says, “No, it’s not.”
Once Ballerini got to the show, she could be seen in the crowd singing along and hanging out with Taylor Swift.

GRAMMY darlings the Brothers Osborne walked the GRAMMY red carpet in their usual style. John Osborne wore a red suit and his trademark cowboy hat. TJ also looked dapper, wearing an all-black suit with a satin back shirt and gold chains. First-time GRAMMY nominee Zach Bryan looks very sharp in an all-black suit and a full beard. Zach looks so happy walking into his first GRAMMY Awards as a four-time nominee. Carly Pearce did not win in her 2024 GRAMMY category of Best Vocal Duo/Group Performance for her song “We Don’t Fight Anymore” with Chris Stapleton, but she did take the spotlight in the pre-show, handing out most of the country’s GRAMMY awards. Jelly Roll got a fresh shave on the sides of his head to shine a light on all his head tattoos. He walked the red carpet along with his wife, Bunnie Xo, and his teenage daughter. Jelly wore a tan coat and pants and a white shirt. Jelly looked great in all-black with a black leather jacket. He looks very happy with his wife, and daughter by his wide who he motioned to many times to stand next to him.
