Wilson is a first-time GRAMMY nominee. As the big awards show approaches, she answered some questions about the Grammys on Sunday (2/4) and posted them to her Instagram.
Lainey is a GRAMMY nominee in the Best Country Album category for Bell Bottom Country and in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Save Me” with Jelly Roll.
In the video clip, which was also posted to GRAMMY’s Instagram account, Wilson says of when she heard about her nominations, “When the GRAMMY nominations came out, it was a few days after the CMA Awards, which was a pretty big night for us, so we were already on cloud nine. I was at my house in Nashville, one of the few nights I was there in 2023, and I was with my mama, my daddy, and my manager, Madelyn.”
She added, “Just being able to have them there for such a special moment. It was already something to be grateful for. When the nomination came out and I heard them mention my name, it was a surreal feeling.”
The 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, February 4, at 8 PM. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS.
