Meghan Patrick’s “Other Side Of 25” Is A Love Letter To Herself

Patrick released a personal statement on “Other Side Of 25” which you can read here:
“The Other Side Of 25 is kind of a love letter to both my younger and older self. I remember dreading turning 25, and then 30, thinking I was getting old, and the fun was over. Now that I’m on the other side of it, I have an appreciation for the mistakes younger me had to make to become who I am now. I have grace and understanding for her, and a lot of love for who she is now. It’s a song for anyone worried about who they think they should be at a certain age, and who they are going to be as they get older… it’s a promise that getting older doesn’t just mean less fun, more responsibility, and a few more lines on your face… it comes with a better sense of self, and as the song says “don’t give a sh*t but I give a damn”… which to me just means caring more about the things that truly matter and less about the things that don’t.”
While down in Mexico for Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa this week, Patrick shared a video to Instagram showing her followers “the hangover on the other side of 25…” which you can see here. The night before, her husband, Mitchell Tenpenny, joined in on the fun with some “breaking news” to promote his new song, “Breaking My Heart.”
Patrick will join Ian Munsick as a supporting act on select dates for his 2023 Boots, Buckles, and Bolos Tour.
