Scotty McCreery Credits The ‘Three Fs’ For His Career Success
Scotty McCreery has been one of the hardest-working artists in the music industry, and he has been ever since he was crowned the winner of American Idol in 2011. With his Grand Ole Opry induction just days away, the country star is taking time to reflect on his career success and credits the “three Fs.”

“Three Fs. Faith, family, friends. That’s like the most important things to me,” McCreery said.
He continued, “Faith has always been huge for me. My family has always had my back. My friends that I still hang out with today at 30 are my friends that I grew up with at two years old. It’s a wild little group we got. So, as much as they are my biggest fans and biggest supporters, at the same time, they truly could not care less. They’re just my good buddies. I think that helped a lot.”

The 30-year-old has always been very vocal about his faith and most recently even released a song about it. McCreery says “Red Letter Blueprint” has a “very deep meaning” to him and the track will be featured on his upcoming album, Rise and Fall.
Although he’s a country star, there’s no doubt that McCreery is a family man and a very loyal friend day in and day out. He expressed his appreciation for his parents, Mike and Judi, and his wife, Gabi Dugal. McCreery tied the knot with Gabi Dugal in 2018 and welcomed their first child, a son, Merrick Avery McCreery, in 2022.
McCreery’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, Rise and Fall, due out May 10, will include previously released tracks “Cab In A Solo,” “Love Like This,” “Can’t Pass The Bar,” and “Slow Dance.” The 13-track collection follows his 2021 project, Same Truck, featuring hits “You Time” and “Damn Straight.”
The Triple Tigers recording artist will fulfill a lifelong dream on Saturday (4/20) when he becomes the newest member of the Opry. McCreery will be inducted by Opry member Josh Turner, following his invitation on stage in December by Garth Brooks.
