Musgraves also presented the GRAMMY for Best Country Album to Lainey Wilson, which she won in that category back in 2014 for her debut album, Same Trailer Different Park.
Musgraves is not only celebrating her seventh overall GRAMMY win throughout her career, but she's also now preparing to release her next album. During the awards show she posted a video clip to her social media accounts with the caption "I found a deeper well."
Throughout the visual, fans can see Musgraves posing in nature with horses, sheep, ducks, and more while singing "My Saturn has returned" at the end of it while directing fans to kaceymusgraves.com. "KM5" vinyl, CD, cassette, and more are now available for pre-order with a release date to be "announced soon."
In addition to the video clip, Musgraves also shared a series of photos to her Instagram account, including one of her holding a guitar with the caption, "I’m saying goodbye to the people that I feel are real good at wasting my time. No regrets, baby, I just think that maybe you go your way and I’ll go mine."
A second photo captured of two sheep is also seen in the video with the caption, "It's been a real good time. But, you've got dark energy, something I can't unsee and I've got to take care of myself."
Musgraves' announcement comes shortly after the release of her cover of Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" featured on the Bob Marley: One Love EP. The song will be featured in the upcoming movie of the same name to be released on February 14.
"KM5" will follow Musgraves' 2021 album, Star-Crossed, featuring "Justified" and Camera Roll."
The phrase "Grammy darlings" applies to artists that Grammy voters love and seem to get all the nominations and awards. In country music, it is quite evident in the last 15 years or so who are the darlings of country music at the Grammy Awards: Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, and Kacey Musgraves.
Nominees this Year for the Grammy for Best Country Album of the Year are Luke Combs for Growin' Up, Miranda Lambert for Palomino, Ashley McBryde for Ashley McBryde Presents Lindeville, Maren Morris for Humble Quest, and country icon Willie Nelson for his album A Beautiful Time. As the February 5th Grammy Awards approach we take a look at winners in that coveted category through the years.
