Kacey Musgraves walked a very special red carpet in Music City on Friday, September 29. It’s one she’ll probably never forget.
You’re not seeing double: the country star wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds Nashville located on Opry Mills Drive. Now, you can grab a selfie with the one and only “High Horse” singer the next time you’re in town.
Musgraves says she picked out everything from the exact eye color to the jewelry. The incredible white lace outfit showcased at Madame Tussauds is hers. She wore it at the Houston Rodeo in 2020.
Musgraves joins a lineup of fellow country stars who have been immortalized with wax figures. The list includes Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift, and many more.
“I think this might be the craziest thing that’s ever happened to me,” Musgraves exclaimed in a video shared to the Madame Tussauds Instagram. “I never even knew that I wanted this to be a bucket list moment. I’m very honored.”
She even posted on Twitter to her more than 900,000 followers that she “took a trip to uncanny valley.” In our opinion, it’s one of the best wax figures we’ve seen comparison-wise.
Musgraves recently received her very first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with Zach Bryan for their duet, “I Remember Everything.” The song is featured on Bryan’s self-titled and fourth studio album, which was released in August.
The six-time GRAMMY winner is expected to be a part of another duet set to be released on October 6 with singer Noah Kahan. He dropped a teaser for the song titled “She Calls Me Back” on his socials earlier this month.

People's Choice Country Awards: The Best Red Carpet Looks
Country music now has four award shows with the addition of tonight’s (9/28) People’s Choice Country Awards. Like the CMT Music Awards, this award show is completely based on fan votes.
The red- carpet is always fun, and a chance for country stars and newcomers to show off their style. Newcomer MaRynn Taylor told me earlier this week that she can’t wait to walk the red carpet. She’s looking forward to seeing who she bumps into and meets for the first time in the country music community. She also walked red carpets at the CMT Music Awards and the ACM Awards in May. Tonight (9/2*) MaRynn wore a sleek black dress and shined with her excitement and never ending big smile.
Over the years, red carpet looks in country music have had some real moments, and even the guys get into the fashion action now and then. Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill walked the recent ACM Honors in Nashville along with two of their daughters, and their black and white matching family outfits made many publication’s top stories the next day.
Big stars tend to walk the red carpet in the last ten minutes before the show gets underway, and at each show, fans and media alike can’t wait to see what Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini and her beau Chase Stokes, and Blake’s wife, Gwen Stefani, will be wearing. Let’s be honest: we love Blake, but until he met Gwen, he didn’t wear anything but flannel shirts and the color blue. While he dresses better with Stefani by his side, he keeps it simple with a jacket, jeans, and boots.
As we get to once again celebrate country music tonight, we look at some of the red-carpet looks from the first People’s Choice Country Awards.
