Post Malone is going to perform for millions on the Super Bowl stage next month. He, Reba McEntire, and Andra Day are each slated to perform in the pregame lineup. Usher, of course, is performing at Halftime. The NFL and Roc Nation announced on Thursday (January 18) that the genre-hopping musician will perform "America the Beautiful" live on CBS from Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, at the February 11 game. Meanwhile, Reba will sing "The Star Spangled Banner" while Andra will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

In the comments section of the NFL's announcement on social media, fans of Posty flooded the comments with wanting the artist to be the halftime performer. One fan went so far as to say: "Why is Post Malone not doing the halftime show. Usher is 1000 years old in music years." Another fan commented, "Posty should really be the halftime show. The man has had more Hot 100 hits than the Beatles. He's universally loved and beyond talented."

Usher last performed at the Super Bowl in 2011 when he made a special appearance during the Black Eyed Peas’ set. The "Burn" singer shared his Vogue feature photos on social media leading up to his halftime performance. As we previously reported, Usher said, "It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon." This year's pregame entertainment and halftime show will also feature American Sign Language performances, as it does every year for every song. Last year's Super Bowl performance featured a pregnant Rihanna as headliner. The pregame performers included Chris Stapleton, Babyface, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. The event earned five Emmy nominations, winning two: Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special. Jay-Z has executive produced the halftime show since 2020, as his company Roc Nation, partnered with the NFL in 2019.
