Fallon asked about a recent post made by Paisley on social media of him and Post Malone. As most fans of Posty know, he is a huge fan of country music and recently performed at the 57th Annual CMA Awards.
While visiting Nashville in November, Post Malone spent some time in the studio with Paisley among other country singers. Paisley told Fallon, “We’ll see if we do something you never know,” on whether or not there’s a collaboration coming.
Both Paisley and Fallon are funny guys, which is why we love when they’re in a room together. The singer-songwriter had the crowd in laughter once he performed a song he had written for his wife, who celebrated 20 years of marriage earlier this year.
Although he may not be meant to write wedding songs, the 51-year-old is eager to release his new music into the world but tells Fallon, “At this point, I’m trying to figure out what all makes it and what sucks.”
Paisley said of the album, due out in early 2024, in a statement, “doesn’t shy away from reflecting real life and real situations going on in America and in our world today. This is what I think country music is about, which is truth.”
In order to paint the journey back home for the record, Paisley released Sons of the Mountains: The First Four Tracks, in September. The collection of songs includes “Same Here” featuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “So Many Summers,” “Son Of The Mountains,” and “The Medicine Will.”
