When it came time for Lynch to hit the stage, he sang his fan-favorite, “Small Town Boy,” and performed the certified Platinum and No. 1 hit, “Thinking ‘Bout You,” with Porter. The track was originally featured on Lynch’s fifth studio album, Blue In The Sky.
The song, which Porter says “changed her life,” has given her many firsts in her career. She made her late-night television debut with Lynch on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, appeared on Good Morning America, and more.
The history-making and infectious hit is the song that keeps on giving. Lynch previously said of “Thinking ‘Bout You,” “MacKenzie, I knew from the moment I heard your voice on this track that we had something magical on our hands. Thank you for wanting to be a part of ‘Thinking ‘Bout You’ and joining me on the wild journey of this song.”
There was also a surprise up Lynch’s sleeve following his guest performance at the Country vs. Cancer show. He presented Porter with a plaque on stage to celebrate her six No. 1 songs in Canada. She is the first female this century to do that.
Speaking of celebrating, Lynch recently garnered his ninth career No. 1 with his single, “Stars Like Confetti,” and released his sixth studio album, Killed The Cowboy. He will hit the road starting in April of 2024 for his headling Killed The Cowboy Tour with special guest Skeez.
