Dustin Lynch is a star in his own right, but his hit single, "Stars Like Confetti," is taking him to the next level. The country star is celebrating his ninth career No. 1 at country radio this week.

The infectious and upbeat track was co-written by Josh Thompson, Thomas Rhett, and Zach Crowell. It is the third single from his fifth studio album, Blue In The Sky, following "Thinking About You" and "Party Mode."

“What a way to cap off what has been an incredible year for us! Country radio friends and fam, thank YOU for another #1! Big shout-out to Josh Thompson, Thomas Rhett, and Zach Crowell for bringing this one into existence and their surrounding support systems,” shares Lynch. “Speaking of support systems, I’ve got the best. Thank you to my team, band, crew, and the best damn radio folks in the biz – Broken Bow Records. If y’all need me, I’ll be gone huntin’.”

The song's lyrics include, "I don't remember what the radio was playin' / I was hangin' like the moon on all the words your lips were sayin' / all I know is there was magic in that Chevy / baby, you were glowin', God was throwin' / stars like confetti."

In addition to playing in Mexico next year for Luke Bryan's Crash My Playa, Lynch will also join Blake Shelton out on the road this winter for his Back To The Honky Ton Tour starting in February. His very own headling Killed The Cowboy Tour with special guest Skeez kicks off in April of 2024.

It is uncommon for a country music star to be born in Nashville, Tennessee. Most of them migrate to Music City to make their country music dreams come true. However, a handful of country stars were born in Nashville, and a few more come from the great state of Tennessee.

Garth, Reba, Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood are from Oklahoma, and Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and many more are from the Peach State of Georgia. Keith Urban was born in New Zealand and Lainey Wilson and Jordan Davis hail from Louisianna.

Let's look at those country stars who started in Tennessee, where Nashville dreams were just hours away.

Kane Brown - Chattanooga, Tennessee

Kane loves all the Georgia teams, primarily the Bulldogs, as Georgia is just minutes away from his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Moving to Nashville in his early twenties was an easy two-hour drive from his birthplace.

Morgan, like Keny Chesney, loves his Tennessee Vols from near his hometown in Knoxville, Tennessee. His move to Nashville was just under four hours away from where he was born.

Chris' mom has worked in the music business for years. Young actually moved to Texas for a while to start performing in clubs and honky tonks before coming back home to make the big time in country music.
