To kick things off, the country star has released a brand new single titled “Hey, Jack.” The song details a mysterious breakup with Block’s bold yet catchy lyrics. She has unveiled a fiery new music video to go along with it.
“This release is something that we’ve worked really hard on. From writing the song, to filming the video, to having my red carpet looks mimic different scenes from the video. It’s been such a creative time for me. This is the start of a new era, and I couldn’t be more excited about it,” Block said.
She continued on Instagram, “Big shout out to my co-writers @randymontana @daverosscohen @countryjeremyst. Dave, you crushed the production! @britton.webb thank you for creating this masterpiece of a video!! You are a star.”
If you thought Block’s look from the “Hey, Jack” music video looked familiar then yes, you are correct. The platinum-selling recording artist wanted to “mimic different scenes from the ‘Hey, Jack’ video” for her red-carpet look at the Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) Awards held on November 7 in Nashville.
That’s not all, she even pulled the “warning shirt and the vest hanging in the bathroom” for Country Music’s Biggest Night, the 57th Annual CMA Awards, on November 8.
Block’s “Hey, Jack” follows the release of her debut album, Welcome To The Party Deluxe Edition featuring tracks “My Bar,” “Off The Deep End,” and “Wish You Were Whiskey.”
Block has also announced her headling ‘Hey Jack Tour’ for 2024, which kicks off in San Diego, California on February 7 with special guest Ryan Larkins. She will also be making appearances at the C2C Music Festival in the United Kingdom and CMC: Rocks Festival in Australia.
