Luke Bryan Gets Some Hunting and Fishing Time

Luke Bryan recently got some rare time off and took his boys, son Bo, and nephew Til, to Colorado for elk hunting. Luke posted several photos from the hunt on his Instagram.

The photos show Luke and his boys sitting with the large elk they killed and walking with their bows. In the last photo, he shared a picture of the three of them fishing. He captioned the photo dump, “Nothing like a trip out to Colorado with my boys to close out elk season.”

As with anyone who posts about hunting, the comments from fans were mixed, with some not supporting the sport of hunting. Other fans were impressed with Bryan’s hunt. One fan commented, “Nice! Your boys are loving it.” Another die-hard wrote, “Just waiting for someone to get offended by this. I’m a huge fan of yours from Taylorsville, Georgia. Congratulations on the awesome hunt!!” One more fan said, “Dude, yes, congrats, brother, that’s strong!”

Bryan reminisced about his long career last month at a party in Nashville to celebrate having 30 number-one country songs.

Luke chatted with us before the party and admitted maybe he shook his booty a little too much over the years. But he had his reasons. He said, “The fans are what make you. You know, once I realized I shake my butt a little bit, girls scream a little bit, so I kinda maybe started overdoing the butt shaking a little bit. But you’ve got to make the fans smile and have fun. And I think that’s with the music, too.”

He added of his song catalog, “I think these songs are a flow of me trying to give fans what they want. There were songs that maybe were off the path of trying to be who I was, but that was all trying to do that. It was trying to do something that sounds a little different and not trying to be redundant.”

  • Brad Paisley

    Brad is a huge fisherman, and when Grand Ole Opry legend Little Jimmie Dickens was alive, the two men often fished. Brad even features his sons fishing in promos for his new song “So Many Summers.” One of Paisley’s first big hits was a song he wrote and performed in 2001 called “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” about choosing fishing over a girl. Before Brad signed with his record label, Garth Brooks wanted to record the song, but Brad held it for himself. Good call! Fun Fact: The video for the song is where Paisley met his wife of 20 years now, Kimberley Williams.

  • Blake Shelton

    Blake is a big outdoorsman and fisherman. He has been working on his three stepsons in the last few years to embrace the outdoors and fishing. Shelton often shares his catches on his social media. In 2021, he posted about a big catch, writing to fans, “I’ll bet some of y’all have never heard of a paddlefish. We got them here in my home state! Y’all come to Oklahoma, where the outdoors is always open!”

    Luke constantly posts about his outdoor trips with buddies or his wife, Nicole. The couple recently took a trip to Montana, where they spent some fishing time. Last year, Combs posted about a big catch. He wrote on Instagram, “Sorry honey, but I got to click over… I got a 6-pound largemouth on the other line.”

    Bryan may be the most excited about his fishing life and often posts about himself and his sons Bo and Tate’s fishing adventures. Luke is so in tune with the fishing lifestyle that he even fished with celebrity fisherman Bill Dance not long ago. He posted, along with a video of his time with Dance, “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment. 11.6 baby @aquatroyg @jccaney @lews_fishing @kevinvandamfishing @bassproshops.”

    Thomas is an avid “fly-fisherman” who takes time to fish with his wife and girls whenever possible. He has shared many fishing moments of his life on his social media, including one from a few years ago, where he caught his first “bonefish.”

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
