On This Day In 2020: Brothers Osborne Release ‘Skeletons’ Album
On October 9, 2020, Brothers Osborne released their third studio album Skeletons, which features singles “All Night” and “I’m Not For Everyone.”
Brothers John and TJ Osborne co-wrote every track on the project while teaming up with longtime producer Jay Joyce. The 12-song collection was crafted with songs that would play very well during their live show and it sure was worth the wait.
Skeletons received both a nomination for Album of the Year at the 55th Annual CMA Awards and Best Country Album at the 64th Grammy Awards. Skeletons is still one of my favorite albums to date. In a sense, it’s refreshing and simply fun for the country genre.
I remember seeing the country duo on tour when they quite literally brought skeletons out on stage and I still think about that show to this day. Not just because of the skeletons, it was due to the fact that Brothers Osborne has some of the best music out there and are true entertainers.
Now, three years later, fans have another project in their hands as Brothers Osborne are fresh off the release of their self-titled fourth studio album.
“It’s been nearly 3 years since our last album dropped. A lot of change has happened in our lives and in the world as a whole. As we continue to evolve as people, so does our sound. But through it all, we are still us. For better and for worse at times. We self titled this album as it is the meeting point between who we’ve become, and who we’ve always been. Our music is Big Tent Country. A little something for everyone and everyone’s invited. We thank y’all for your patience, love, and unwavering support. Can’t wait to bring these songs to you out on the road,” Brothers Osborne shared in a post on Twitter.
Brothers Osborne kicked off their album release concert series in New York City over the weekend and followed up with a hometown show in Nashville on Saturday night. Later this month, they will head to Washington, DC, Forth Worth, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona, and Los Angeles, California.
