HARDY’s ACM Awards Could Go Next To Career ‘Quit Note’
HARDY took home four ACM Awards at last night’s (5/11) show in Texas. His wins included Visual Media of the Year for the “Wait In The Truck” video. He also won Artist/Songwriter of the Year, Music Event for “Wait In The Ttuck” as an artist and a producer.
After the show, HARDY said backstage, “I feel really blessed. Really going into this week, I’ve been thinking about how many people it takes to build an artist. And there’s publishing and management, and there’s publicizing, and there’s A&R, and here’s creative. I can’t do it on my own, and I just think about all the people that get you there and how hard they work.”
He added, “I feel like sometimes people take that for granted and forget about that. So I am celebrating this moment with people that really got you there; it’s super important.”
When asked how he would celebrate his win, he quipped, “I’m gonna get really drunk and then pass out.”
As for where the new awards will go, HARDY said he has an award space next to a particular note he kept from an early career naysayer. He said, “I have a studio, and I have like a big display thing, and it has all of my arrowheads and all of my notes that have been written by some of my artist friends. Have you heard the ‘quit’ napkin story where somebody wrote quit and put it in a tip jar? I have that. I have a little spot for my awards, but taking home four tonight, I have to find a new place which I’m really excited about.”

HARDY recently announced the next leg of his “the mockingbird & THE CROW Tour,” and Lainey Wilson will join him as well as newcomer Dylan Marlowe.
HARDY said, “I believe I have two of the most authentic, talented acts out there opening for me on this run. I’m honored that Dylan and Lainey are a part of this tour, and I am still in disbelief that I’m announcing my first arena tour.” He added, “Fans, I will not let you down. This WILL be the greatest HARDY set you’ve ever seen. See y’all out there.”
“the mockingbird & THE CROW Fall Tour” will launch on August 31 in Knoxville, Tennessee, at Knoxville’s Civic Coliseum. The tour rolls through the end of 2023. Notable stops include Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, Orange Beach, Alabama’s The Wharf, Biloxi’s Mississippi Coast Coliseum, and more.
