Taylor Swift Adds 17 More Stadium Shows, Making 52 Stops Total
Good news, Swifties! Taylor Swift announced Friday morning (November 11) on her Instagram Stories that she has added 17 additional dates to her “Eras Tour” of U.S. stadiums, bringing the total number of stops to a whopping 52! This total number now makes it her biggest tour to date and one that could easily break her own record for a gross in North America, Variety reports.
On her 2018 “Reputation” tour, the singer-songwriter did 38 dates and took in a record gross of $266.1 million on ticket sales of more than 2 million attendees.
All of the newly announced gigs are in cities that were previously part of the tour, but with second or third nights added — and in one case, a fifth night for the tour’s concluding stop at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium. Cities getting a third night include Arlington, Tampa, Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Philadelphia, Foxborough, East Rutherford and Chicago. The opening night of the tour has also shifted, with the addition of a second date in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, 2023. There are no longer any cities on the routing that have just a single night.
Swift’s camp said the vast expansion of the tour was “due to unprecedented demand.” Now, brides don’t have to reconsider their wedding dates to see their favorite artist. As we previously reported, Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Adams and OWENNSee are joining Swift on stage in select cities. As far as what Swift will be performing, she described the tour as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!),” with a graphic showing her look from different phases of her career. Though she will definitely be supporting her successful 11th studio album, Midnights, we can expect Swift to perform from all of her original studio albums since her last tour.
