Country music isn’t just a music genre; for some, it’s a way of life. It’s even a religion of sorts. Whether you have grown up with country music and got your knowledge from your parents or if you found the music genre on your own, it’s something you love for life. Fans of country music are loyal; some have been buying one particular artist’s music and going to their concerts since they were young. When a diehard fan of Alan Jackson passed away recently, her one request upon her death was to have her ashes spread over his property near Nashville. That did not happen, but Jackson and his people did honor the lifelong fan and gave her daughter a memorable afternoon in his club in Nashville to honor her mother.

Tim McGraw observed recently that when he plays a concert, he often sees four generations of country fans, moms, dads, grandparents, and even great-grandparents at his shows. While country superstars like Taylor Swift bent the genre a bit and ended up in pop music, she still has her loyal following in country music. She plays a big part in the Country Music Hall of Fame In Nashville, where she founded and funded an entire exhibit to help young people get to know the music genre.
