Country music and the Fourth of July go hand in hand as country stars love their country and celebrate it proudly whenever they can. As we celebrated the Fourth of July yesterday (7/4) with our friends and family, country stars did the same thing. Many of them shared their Fourth of July thoughts with their millions of Instagram followers.

Many country stars played concerts for the Fourth of July, like Darius Rucker, who performed during a July 4th celebration in San Diego. And, of course, Brad Paisley, who performed in Nashville just before the downtown fireworks kicked off with the Nashville Symphony. Other country stars like Shania Twain and Zac Browm Band were featured with earlier performances on CNN’s The Fourth in America, which aired last night (7/4).

Over the years, country stars have shared their thoughts on the patriotic holiday. Miranda Lambert told us a couple of years ago, “Summer is my favorite time of the year, so Fourth of July is one of my favorites. My favorite firework is sparklers; it brings out the little girl in me. I always ask for sparklers for the Fourth of July.”

Chris Young told us a while back, “I love the Fourth of July; it’s always something I try to be home for. I always make sure my family is with me. I love fireworks, and I love the whole experience of it.”

We gathered eight country stars who posted about the holiday celebrating our independence.
