A Radio History of Jeff Kurkjian
Thank you so much for coming here to learn more about me. I pride myself on sharing my life with the amazing people who have listened to me since I started my career back in Syracuse, New York. I was on the air at WJPZ (Z89) while I was a student at Syracuse University. That introduced me to the amazing world of radio and I haven’t looked back.
After graduating college in 2015, I moved to Cleveland, Ohio for my first professional radio job at Q104, a top-40 radio station. I had the opportunity to do a morning radio show in a city that was at the peak of a great time. In 2016, the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Championship and the (then) Cleveland Indians made it to the World Series.
I was also honored to cover the Republican National Convention that took place in the city that summer as well. It was a big year.
I then decided to take an opportunity to join the country radio world in Las Vegas, Nevada at the (then) 102.7 Coyote Country. I worked with my cohost Aimee, a dear friend of mine, who you can hear as the voice of the intros for “Jeff Kurkjian’s Country Beat.”
We delivered flowers every Friday for years (COVID excluded), gave away IVF treatment to a family that had happy and healthy twins in 2023, hosted ACM and NFR events every year and so much more.
In 2022, after getting married, I was given the opportunity to move to Philadelphia to work with 92.5 XTU alongside my now cohost, Andie Summers, our producer Donnie and assistant producer, Shannon.
