Unique Halloween Party Ideas for Adults
Halloween used to be all about the kids, but over the past decade, the trend has been towards adults having massive Halloween parties. So, what are some creative and unique Halloween party ideas and activities for adults? I have to say that I love Halloween parties. Dressing up is always fun, and I’m constantly blown away by how much effort people put into their Halloween parties. One of my friends does a massive Halloween party every three years, and he does it up so big. His house becomes like a real haunted house, and last year, he even built a skeleton carrousel that was at least 20 feet high. That might be out of your reach, but here are some Halloween party ideas and activities that are a bit simpler.
Halloween Party Ideas for Adults
Halloween Blind Cocktail Taste Test
This is such a fun idea. Good Housekeeping suggests having a party with a “Halloween Blind Cocktail Taste Test,” where guests will taste different drinks and not know what they’re sipping. “Brew spooky drinks for guests to enjoy, like a cherry crush or a pomegranate ‘poison’ spritz,” they write. They add, “Host a taste test where you blindfold the contestants and have them try their luck guessing the names of your delicious drinks.”
Haunted Gingerbread Houses
This idea could work for the kids, too, but as an adult, I would be all about this party idea. HGTV suggests having a party where you make haunted gingerbread houses. “Say hello to the haunted Halloween gingerbread house, your new go-to party activity,” they write. “Use small milk cartons to form the houses.” You can also find haunted gingerbread house kits, much like you see with Christmas kits.
Horror-Movie Trivia
I’m personally not a trivia fan, but I would love to go to a Halloween party with Halloween-themed trivia. Popsugar.com suggests having a “Horror-Movie Trivia” night, where you host trivia games during the party. “From classic horror films and scream fests to scary movies that just hit the box office, the options for trivia quizzes are endless,” they state. There’s an actual Horror Trivia Card Game that you can find online, or you can find some horror-movie trivia games online.
Have an Old-Fashioned Halloween Costume Contest
I’m all about the classics. My personal idea is to have an adult Halloween party where you have an old-fashioned Halloween costume contest. It’s just fun to see everyone dressed up in their costumes, and of course, you can have some fun prizes for the winner. Contact me with your Halloween party ideas.
