Lainey Wilson Joins Anne Wilson To Perform ‘Praying Woman’
Anne Wilson released her sophomore album, Rebel, earlier this year, and it’s country at its finest. It also included a collaboration, “Praying Woman,” with ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year, and the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry, Lainey Wilson.

The country ladies join forces on Wilson’s Rebel track, “Praying Woman,” and they are now sharing a stripped-down version, recorded backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. It was quite fitting for them as they both have been a part of the ‘Opry NextStage Class‘ during their career (Lainey Wilson, 2021 and Anne Wilson, 2024).
Anne’s “Praying Woman,” which she co-wrote with Lainey, Trannie Anderson, Jeff Pardo, and Matthew West, is one of the three collaborations featured on her Rebel album. It also includes “The Cross” featuring Chris Tomlin, and “Country Gold” with Jordan Davis.
“‘Praying Woman’ featuring the incredible @laineywilson is available now. We both have been blessed to be raised by moms who always supported us and hit their knees praying for their girls. This song is a tribute to those who believe in the power of prayer and what better day to honor that than #NationalDayOfPrayer,” Wilson posted on Instagram on May 2.
In 2023, Wilson’s album, My Jesus, was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the Grammys. Earlier this year, Wilson received her first-ever CMT Award nomination for Breakthrough Video of the Year for her Country radio single, “Rain In The Rearview.”
Wilson will return to the Opry stage this Friday, June 21, followed by a performance at Freedom Fest 2024 in Charlotte, Arizona on Saturday, June 22. This fall, the rising country star will bring her headlining ‘The Rebel Tour‘ to 28 cities nationwide with stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Tampa, Chicago, San Diego, and more.
