Not only is Wilson hitting the stage during the People’s Choice Awards, but she’s also a nominee. Wilson has been nominated in The Female Artist category and The Female Country Artist category alongside Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain.
Wilson and Kylie Minogue have since been the only two performers announced at the upcoming 2024 People’s Choice Awards. In addition, singer, songwriter, and actor Lenny Kravitz will be honored with the Music Icon Award while Golden Globe and Emmy award-nominated actor Adam Sandler will receive the People’s Icon Award.
Wilson, who won Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Bellbottom Country), and Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2023 CMA Awards is on top of the world. Most recently, the 31-year-old won her first-ever GRAMMY for Best Country Album.
“Leaving LA feeling extremely blessed…not just for the win but also for the friends that came out there with me and the new ones I met along the way. This ride and family just got 10x wilder and bigger and that right there is the win. I’m proud of what we’ve done and what’s to come, and it’s comin’ soon. Y’all buckle up,” Wilson posted on Instagram.
Wilson has also been very busy in the studio working on new music following the success of Bellbottom Country and her hit singles “Heart Like A Truck,” “Watermelon Moonshine,” and “Wildflowers And Wild Horses.” She has announced that her next track, “Country’s Cool Again,” will be released later this month.
“Country isn’t just a genre for me or for any of us that live and breathe it every single day. It’s a way of life. It’s always been cool and I think I speak for everyone when I say, we’re just glad it’s gettin’ a lil more recognition and love these days. Welcome to the party, cowgirls and cowboys,” Wilson shared to social media.
