HunterGirl’s First Holiday Tracks Featured On Hallmark Channel

HunterGirl is in full holiday mode with the release of two original Christmas tracks, “Hurry Up Christmas” and “Christmas Again.” The country singer and vocal powerhouse co-wrote both tracks which are also now behind Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown To Christmas.”

The movie Christmas Island, which premiered earlier this month, featured HunterGirl’s “Hurry Up Christmas” while “Christmas Again” is set to be featured in the Hallmark Channel’s upcoming sequel, Haul Out The Holly: Lit Up.

“When I found out that two songs I wrote were going to be featured in the Hallmark Channel’s Christmas movies, I was so excited for my whole family, especially my Nana,” she explained in a press statement. “I’ve been watching Hallmark Christmas movies with my family since I was a little girl, so hearing my song, ‘Hurry Up Christmas,’ in Christmas Island over the weekend was a moment I will never forget.”

The runner-up on season 20 of American Idol made history when she became the first female country artist in over 30 years to write her debut single solo. HunterGirl wrote the powerful ballad just weeks after the singing competition.

HunterGirl’s “Ain’t About You” was produced by award-winning producer Lindsay Rimes. Over the summer, the 25-year-old shared a post to Instagram letting her fans know it was the most added song on Country Radio and adding, “This is a song I never thought anyone would hear, and now it is my first single.”

“If there’s anybody out there right now thinking about giving up on a dream or something they love, I hope they listen to this song and think twice about it,” says HunterGirl. “We’re all here to do something special.”

For those not familiar with The Elf On The Shelf, I’ll give you a little background first.  Families across the world welcome their Elf on the Shelf each holiday season.  These special elves are Santa’s messengers who help him manage his naughty and nice list.  These magical elves take note of the behavior of their children and report back to Santa nightly at the North Pole.  The elves cannot be touched or they will lose their magic.  They return from the North Pole each morning for the children to find.  Some elves are mischievous and get into a little bit of trouble.

Since the elves are around for a few weeks, it can be hard for parents to come up with new and fun ideas each day.  To help with that you’ll find a 24 day idea kit on the list.
