Luke Combs’ New Album Will Feature Tracy Chapman Cover

Luke Combs recently revealed the track listing for his upcoming album, Gettin’ Old. The album will include a cover of the Tracy Chapman song “Fast Car.” It was back in 2020 during COVID when Combs first covered the song on Instagram. He said at the time from his Nashville garage, “It’s awesome that we have stuff like this to be able to see each other. I wanna play a couple of songs tonight to just kind of take your mind off things a bit.” He started the garage show by covering Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.”

Chapman’s “Fast Car” was released in 1988.

Luke posted the tracklist of the album to Instagram. He wrote, “Here it is – the full track list for my new album Gettin’ Old – out March 24!”

One fan reacted to his post, “Love the cover of Fast Car by Tracy Chapman.” Another fan commented, “Thank you for putting “see me now” on!! Love this song so much.” One more fan wrote, “Album of the Year @lukecombs.”
