Country music fans, get ready to welcome Old Dominion as Backstage Country’s host from October 7-11! This Grammy-nominated band is set to make country music fans’ toes tap as they play their hits, share stories behind their hit songs, and their latest album, Odie But Goodie (yes, that’s really the album’s name and no, we did not make a typo).
The Band Behind the Hits
Hailing from Nashville Tennessee, the music band consists of:
- Matthew Ramsey, lead vocalist and rhythm guitar
- Trevor Rosen, rhythm guitar and keyboards
- Whit Sellers, drums
- Geoff Sprung, bass guitar,
- Brad Tursi, lead guitar
Known for their chart-successful hits, “Make It Sweet” and “One Man Band,” the band earned their first Grammy award nomination for “Some People Do” for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
Exclusive Interviews and Stories
Throughout the week, Old Dominion will share exclusive interviews and inspiration behind their hit songs, their creative process and reflections on their journey as a band from their first album to their latest one.
Rosen, in particular, hinted at sharing the story behind “Written in the Sand,” which he considers his current favorite Old Dominion song. Ramsey admitted to getting a little introspective while away from his family during tours. He also tells a story of how they were almost late getting on stage one night because they were busy writing a new song backstage!
