Hunt is working to heal his “wayward streak.” His latest song, “Locked Up,” was inspired by his brush with the law. In 2019, he in Nashville for a DUI, and since that time, he has worked to get himself straight with the help of his wife, Hannah.
Meant To Be Together
Sam told us in a recent interview, “I think a deep understanding that she and I together for us to both reach our potential and become the versions of ourselves that we both want to be; we are meant to be together, and through that relationship, will be able to achieve that and separate of each other we fall well short.”
Hunt added that he has struggled in the past, “I certainly have a wayward streak, a wider wayward streak than Hannah does; I don’t know that she has one at all.”
He explained, “Since I was twelve or thirteen or fourteen years old, I’ve been trying to wrestle that part of me into submission and bring it to heal. It has taken a long time, and my relationship with Hannah and God has been an important part of making progress in that department.”
Change For The Better
One more thing helped him to change for the better. He told us, “Having kids has been a huge part in that as well. I think having children wisened me up in a way that I don’t think anything else could have.”
“All those things combined and having a good foundation of right and wrong at the end of the day, I had loving parents who taught me between right and wrong. All those things gave me no excuse to getting off track.”
