“My parents’ relationship is one I’ve always admired and has served as the basis of what I hope my future resembles,” Leatherwood shares of the song’s inspiration. “I wouldn’t be where I am without my parents supporting my music career and to thank them, I wanted to give them a song that captures how important they are to me.”
Leatherwood also posted to Instagram in support of the track with the caption, “I wrote this song about my Mom and Dad and the kind of example they set when it came to looking for someone to share a life with… their support has never gone unnoticed and I can’t thank them enough for the inspiration behind this song. Y’all ready?”
