Now, he's working towards the release of his forthcoming debut album. Beckham has previously unveiled his tracks including the hit platinum single, "23," "Whiskey On The Wall," "Little Less Lonely," "Till The Day I Die," and most recently, "This Ol' Rodeo."
Beckham co-wrote "This Ol' Rodeo" alongside one of his favorite artists and good friends, Stephen Wilson Jr. The pair of friends were hanging out at his house talking about how it feels to rise in the country music genre and how much they have had to sacrifice in the name of following their dreams.
"I feel like anything that's worth having isn't easy to get and it's just what the song's about," Beckham said.
But the song isn’t only about what one has to give up to follow their passions. When writing “This Ol’ Rodeo,” Beckham was also inspired by his best friend growing up who was a rodeo cowboy. Beckham said he watched his friend do dangerous stunts and get injured, but have to pick himself back up, get back on the horse, and keep going. He believes each of us have a bit of cowboy and cowgirl in us.
“‘This song is about taking on something that might be a little bit wilder than you, trying to hang on, and loving it through the wins and losses whether it loves you back or not,” he said in a press release about the song.
Luckily for day-one fans of Beckham, the singer-songwriter can hear "This Ol' Rodeo" live when he returns to the road this summer once again with Luke Bryan on his 2024 Mind Of A Country Boy Tour.
When Hollywood actors went on strike for the first time in forty years last week, production on all sets stopped. That affected all country stars acting in TV or movies.
The strike will not affect reality shows like American Idol and The Voice, full of country music royalty helping young budding stars' dreams come true. Those shows will go on as scheduled, giving us all the chance to see Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay sitting in red chairs on The Voice as first-time coaches on the show.
According to the guidelines, SAG-AFTRA members cannot attend premieres, do interviews for completed work, go to awards shows, attend film festivals, or even promote projects on social media while the strike is in effect. They are also prohibited from attending conventions such as Comic-Con to promote any past or present work made under a SAG-AFTRA contract.
The strike will affect those country stars that have done a lot of acting in the past, including Tim McGraw, McEntire, Lainey Wilson, Randy Houser, and more.
We searched for what to watch on TV and streaming services during the strike, which could last for months. For you, we gathered some TV shows already on streaming services where you can watch your favorite country stars flexing their acting skills, talking about their career in documentaries, and more.
