Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman Shares ‘Life Update’ With Fans

Kimberly Schlapman is one of the kindest people to come out of Nashville. The Little Big Town member took to social media this week to share a “little life update” with her fans. Schlapman took a few minutes to share some of the challenges she’s facing following what she thought was going to be a “pretty simple shoulder surgery.”

In the video posted to her Instagram account on Tuesday (2/6), Schlapman revealed that her shoulder surgery was “a lot more extensive” than she and her doctor had planned. The singer-songwriter seen in the clip below shows her new arm cast which will be on for six weeks while doing physical therapy and another six weeks once she gets it off.

Schlampan proceeded to announce a few of the challenges that she is currently facing including brushing her teeth with her left hand, putting in her contacts, and having a really hard time cooking. If you’re a fan of Schlapman then you know how much she loves cooking in her kitchen.

Schlapman kicked off 2024 by also unveiling her “2024 Ins and Outs” which included “Ins” puppy time (Dolly is so adorable), more at-home cooking, onion goggles, and more pink sequins. As for her “Outs,” we’re probably all on the same page there.

Little Big Town released their tenth studio album, Mr. Sun, featuring “Hell Yeah,” “Rich Man,” “Three Whiskeys And The Truth,” and more in 2022. The group will hit the road later this year as a special guest on George Strait’s extended run of stadium shows with Chris Stapleton.

The music video was filmed in Watertown, Tennessee, and co-stars Johnathon Schaech as the object of the band's wrath.

The song was written by Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads, Phillip Sweet, Jimi Westbrook, and Wayne Kirkpatrick. In the song, all four of the group's members trade off lead and harmony vocals, with all four members singing in various combinations throughout.

  A touching song released in 2019 from the group's "Nightfall" album about what we tell our daughters when we explain the world to them. The group debuted the song at the CMA Awards. Phillip said of the song when it came out, "We had been working in the studio, and Karen came back -- she had been in a session -- and she was like, 'Guys, I think I just wrote the best song I've ever written. I just want you to hear it.' And we heard it, and we all just loved it and loved what it said and thought it was poignant for the times."
