HARDY And His Wife Caleigh Mourns His Grandpa’s Passing

HARDY, his wife Caleigh, and their family are mourning the death of HARDY’s Grandpa Bobby. Caliegh posted a message about her husband’s grandfather on her Insta Stories. Over a photo of a lake and fishing boat, she wrote on the first slide, “A new heartbreak came for the family this Thursday when Micheal’s (HARDY) sweet grandpa Boddy passed away unexpectedly.”

She continued, “Life always seems to have a way of challenging you and testing your limits when you feel like you can least handle it, but I know something great will come out of all these hard times.”

Caleigh thanked fans for all their “sweet messages” and asked for “prayers” for HARDY’s “sweet grandma.”

In the second slide, she posted a photo of Grandpa Bobby and wrote, “REST IN PEACE. Such an amazing man who was absolutely adored and loved by so many! He lived an amazing, full life with a legacy that will live on for generations. I love you.”

In a third slide, she posted a photo of herself dancing with Grandpa Bobby, wearing a tux and a black cowboy hat at what looks like her wedding.

He’s had his share of sadness in the past few months. HARDY paid tribute to his former bus driver and friend Ricky at a show in Texas late last year (11/18). During his show in Houston, HARDY dedicated his performance of “Give Heaven Some Hell” after hearing his friend passed away.

He said from the stage, “I never dedicate this song to anybody, but I just found out yesterday that my bus driver, who was driving that bus, passed away yesterday. So tonight, I want to dedicate this song to my bus driver, Ricky, and his family.”

Ricky was diagnosed with brain cancer following a bus accident where HARDY, and his crew were involved in the Fall of 2022. Ricky’s daughter paid tribute to her dad on Facebook. She wrote in part, along with a photo of Ricky on a motorcycle, “As of this morning, Daddy is resting in the arms of Jesus. I imagine his laugh being such a joyous sound in heaven. I will never be able to put into words just how much he means to me or how thankful I am God chose him to be mine. He passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by Rachel and I. ”

    Brittney told Music Row of her debut album, “These songs serve as my introduction to country music, and I wanted to give them all the time and care that they (and my fans) deserve.” She added that she wrote many songs from the “back corners” of her mind.

    Blackberry Smoke is a southern rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded in 2000 by lead singer and guitarist Charlie Starr. The current lineup includes Charlie Starr, Richard Turner (bass), Brit Turner (drums), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), and Brandon Still (keyboards).

  • Hardy, "Hixtape Vol. 3: Difftape" - To Be Released March 29, 2024

    This new HARDY album will be centered around and as a tribute to the GRAMMY and CMA Award-winning catalog of country legend Joe Diffie. HARDY told us backstage at the CMA Awards after performing some of Diffie’s songs with Morgan Wallen and Post Malone on the show, “We have gotten a hold of all of Joe Diffie’s tapes from the ’90s, the actual session themselves. We have basically done what we have done with Hixtape, and we’ve taken some of Joe’s vocals out and all that, and we’ve added some of the biggest singers in country music to help him sing some of his biggest hits, and you saw two of those tonight.”

  • Sheryl Crow, "Evolution" - To Be Released March 29, 2024

    Crow, a 2023 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, announced that she would release Evolution, her 11th full-length studio album debuting the album’s lead single, “Alarm Clock” during a November 2 appearance on NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She told Fallon she said she would never do another full album a couple of years ago but changed her mind when she ended up with several songs she wrote recently and wanted to share them. She quipped of changing her mind, “You can’t believe anything that comes from my mouth.”

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
