The event was hosted by Sara Carter who celebrated RaeLynn along with fellow Mothers Of Influence recipients Lindy Blanchard and Dr. Alveda King. Dr. Sebastian Gorka was also in attendance and honored with the Champion of Freedom Award.
In February 2016, RaeLynn married Joshua Davis, and together welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in September 2021. The 29-year-old has since been very vocal about motherhood to her fan base.
“Last Friday I received an award from @momsforamerica for being a mom in a room full of amazing mothers fighting for their babies. Here are a few of the things I said in my acceptance speech…,” RaeLynn posted on Facebook.
“I was ok with just keeping my mouth shut until the day I saw two pink lines on January 3rd 2021. That moment I was forever changed. I didn’t become a mother when I gave birth I became a mother when I saw that Yes, You are pregnant. At that moment the momma bear energy every woman in this room has, God was brewing in me. The devil on my shoulder wanted me to believe that no one would care what I had to say. No one would care what I believed? But in that moment I didn’t care what anyone thought about me in the music industry because all I care about is what my daughter thinks about her mother. I wanted in that moment to stand up for her and her life and her children. That’s what truly matters. The legacy we leave behind is for them. I want my daughter to be someone who is proud of her beliefs, stands up for what is right, has faith in Gods greater plan and respects herself enough to say what is on her heart and the only way she is gonna do that is by her Dad and I leading by example and standing up for her while she is growing up.”
RaeLynn has dropped quite a few tunes this year, such as “It’s Happening Right Here,” “Broken One,” “Somebody Else,” and “What’s Wrong With That?” The multi-faceted artist will take on stadiums next summer while opening up for Kane Brown‘s In The Air Tour.
