Wilson originally gave the song its television debut at the 57th Annual CMA Awards in November where she won Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year on that very night.
The 31-year-old recently joined us in the studio on Shawn Parr’s Backstage Country. Wilson took a few moments to reflect on how far she’s come and what it means to her to now be recognized as one of country music’s biggest stars.
“[I] worked hard for these years, and I’ve prayed for these years. I mean, my family has prayed for me for these years, and it’s happening and it’s here and it’s hard, but it’s incredible. People would kill to be in this position and be able to do this. So I don’t take it lightly at all,” Wilson told Shawn Parr.
Wilson will end the year with live performances on CMA Country Christmas airing tonight (12/14) and also headline New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash (12/31).
She will hit the road in 2024 for her very own headlining “Country’s Cool Again Tour.” Wilson will kick things off at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 31 with special guests Jackson Dean, Zach Top, and Ian Munsick on select dates.
