Darius Rucker To Be Honored With Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
We suppose you could say the stars have most certainly aligned for hitmaker Darius Rucker throughout 2023. The lead vocalist of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish, country singer, songwriter, and guitarist will be honored with the 2,766th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on December 4.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to honor the very talented Darius Rucker,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “I think he will be happy to know that his mentor and friend Charley Pride’s star is a few feet away from his star.”
Rucker posted the following caption to a post on his Facebook feed:
“IS THIS REAL?!?! Honored to receive the 2,766th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!! You can watch it LIVE on Monday, December 4, at 11:30 AM PT at walkoffame.com. If you are in Hollywood sometime down the road, come check it out at 7065 Hollywood Blvd!”
In addition to receiving the CMA Humanitarian Award last month, Rucker was also honored in Nashville, Tennessee with a star at the Music City Walk of Fame. The 57-year-old was one of four legendary figures to be inducted on October 4, and two days later, on October 6, he dropped his first solo album in six years titled Carolyn’s Boy.
Fans of Rucker can watch a live stream of the event as he receives his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at walkoffame.org on Monday, December 4 at 11:30 am PT. Guest speakers for the ceremony have yet to be announced.
