“I’m stoked to have this song coming out,” shares ERNEST in a press statement. “We wrote it a couple years ago in the middle of Covid, and when we wrote it I knew that I wanted it to live in some capacity. I’m such a fan of Steve’s music, so when he reached out about putting it out together, I was ecstatic! The song brings together country and dance in a fun and playful way.”
Aoki added: “I’ve been a huge fan of ERNEST’s songwriting for a while so when I first heard him singing on the demo of this song, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to work together. Regardless of the music genre, his lyrics and vocal delivery work perfectly. Together we were able to create a song that feels authentically dance while maintaining his country roots.”
This isn’t the first time Ernest has collaborated with a top-of-the-charts DJ. He was featured on Diplo’s “Bottle’s Bout Dead” which is included on his album, Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil.
Ernest is also fresh off the release of his brand new single, “Kiss of Death.” The song produced by Joey Moi and co-written by Andy Albert and Ryan Vojtesak is the first taste of what’s to come in the country singer’s next chapter of music.
Ernest is currently on the road for his 2023 headlining “This Fire Tour” with special guests Jake Worthington, John Morgan, and Cody Lohden on select dates. The tour will conclude with two nights at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on November 28 and 29.
