The second annual ‘Opry Goes Dolly’ show has been announced. The one-of-a-kind Opry show will celebrate the icon. And it falls on her actual birthday, January 19.
Beginning today, $5 from every ticket sold for ‘Opry Goes Dolly’ will be donated to the Opry Trust Fund in Parton’s honor. Tickets are on sale now at Opry.com.
Among the celebratory plans in Music City for Parton, there will be a “larger-than-life birthday card” for fans to sign at the Ryman Auditorium and Opry House on January 19, as well as a Dolly impersonator on the Ryman plaza for photos during the ‘Opry Goes Dolly’ show.
The announcement of the second annual ‘Opry Goes Dolly’ birthday show follows the release of her brand new album, Rockstar, out today (November 17). Parton teamed up with some of today’s biggest stars and rock music’s most legendary artists including Sting, Steve Perry, Steven Tyler, Ann Wilson, Stevie Nicks, Chris Stapleton, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Brandi Carlile, and more, to create the thirty-track collection.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am of the ‘Rockstar’ album and I can’t tell you how happy I am that it’s finally here to be released! I really had a wonderful time working with all these iconic artists on the record and all these iconic musicians. Not to mention all these great iconic songs that I think everybody will love hearing again. I just hope you enjoy my version of them,” Parton posted on X.
