LOCASH Unveils “44 Strong” To Celebrate New Partnership

LOCASH hit the stage at the Grand Ole Opry earlier this month and made a special announcement during their set. The country duo has released an exclusive new song titled “44 Strong” to celebrate their 2024 partnership with 44 Farms.

44 Farms is one of the largest registered Black Angus cattle operations in America. It’s located in Cameron, Texas And they’re now working alongside Preston Brust and Chris Lucas of LOCASH.

“We fell in love with the place the moment we drove onto the ranch. We became old friends with everyone at 44 Farms the minute we shook hands,” shares Brust.

Lucas agrees, “We’re storytellers and 44 Farms is a story that needs to be told. America needs to know what ranchers do, day in and day out. “

Brust and Lucas will travel coast to coast next year in their “44 Strong” wrapped tour bus as they continue to show appreciation for the ranchers dedicated to putting beef on America’s tables.

“Friends, we’d like to share something that has put a smile on our faces and in our hearts. Over the past few months, we’ve been working with the Nashville-based band, LOCASH, to sing the stories of the men and women dedicated to putting beef on America’s table. Not long ago, we gathered in Nashville’s Blackbird recording studio to capture the words and beliefs we hold so dearly. Words and melody we hope sing the praises of the men and women who work 365 days a year. Rain, snow or shine. Recently, we invited LOCASH back to our ranch in Cameron, Texas, to shoot the video for the song, 44 Strong. We hope it puts a smile on your face and in your heart,” 44farms shared on Instagram.

LOCASH filmed a music video for “44 Strong” with a 4th-generation rancher and president of 44 Farms, Bob McClaren. He was also in attendance for an event in Nashville for family, friends, and media on the day of their Opry performance at The 404 Kitchen to celebrate with the guys.

The news of the exclusive partnership and song, “44 Strong,” follows LOCASH’s most recent single “Three Favorite Colors.” They will also be hitting the road next summer as a supporting act on Kane Brown’s 2024 In The Air Tour.

This song from Country Music Hall of Fame members Alabama came out in the 1980s when the band peaked. The song is a reminiscence of the narrator’s youth, who explains how his younger days were so good and how he didn’t realize how the times would change. Chris released this song as a fun album cut from his Everybody album in 2017. The chorus sings, “Who keeps plantin’ them kisses on your South Georgia lips / Dancin’ in the rain with my hands on your hips / Who lays your life out in pretty little rows / Who keeps that red dirt between your pretty toes / Oh, say my name, let it echo through the holler / Who’s your farmer.”
