Whether you’re in a relationship or not, this song will pull at your heartstrings in more ways than one. Paslay opens our eyes to something beautiful beyond the lyrics and reminds us all to be present with the one we love.
Paslay shared the following statement to his website on “Like I’m Loving You Now”:
“I’m a hopeless romantic. Like, sappy. Ask my wife. If I was born 1000 years ago, I’d like to think I’d find Natalie riding a horse in a little European village by a younger blue sea. And I do believe in those great, timeless loves. The kind that everyone wants and looks for. I hope when you hear this song, you’re reminded to appreciate the person you love and to take this moment, right now, to reinvest back into that person and keep that love alive. Or, if you haven’t found that person yet, to keep the faith.”
Paslay’s “Like I’m Loving You Now” follows three other songs he’s previously released in 2023 including “Perfect Stranger,” “Best Damn Days,” and “Best Friends.”
In addition to his tracks, Paslay is also featured on Charles Esten’s latest release, “Down The Road,” which will be featured on his upcoming album, Love Ain’t Pretty.
The singer-songwriter has released two studio albums to date, his self-titled 2014 debut album, and Nice Guy, released back in 2020.
Earlier in his career, Paslay sparked the country airwaves with his singles “Never Really Wanted,” “Friday Night,” and “Song About A Girl.” He co-wrote “Friday Night,” originally recorded by Lady Antebellum, alongside Rose Falcon and Rob Crosby.
