I will never forget the first time I sat on my couch to watch this show. It was the perfect series for someone like me, with Nashville as the backdrop, country music, drama, and romance all in one.
However, the show would not have been what it was or still stand out to me to this day without the incredible cast. The chemistry and talent they each brought to the table made it amazing.
In 2012, Nashville was nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Most Exciting New Series. The show ran up until July 2018 and gave fans a total of six seasons, 124 episodes, and a soundtrack with lots of great country songs.
Nashville brought us numerous original songs including "A Life That's Good" by Lennon & Maisy, "Fade Into You" performed by Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen, and many more.
Britton shared a cast photo shot on the stage of The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennesee on July 27, 2018, to her Instagram page with the caption:
"Last night. The end of an era. So happy to get one more chance on the Ryman stage with these heavenly people. Thank you Nashville. Such a beautiful dream."
Although the show came to an end, that didn't stop some of the main cast members from being in the country music spotlight over the years. Bowen, Esten, Palladio, along with Jonathan Jackson are currently in the midst of their Nashville Reunion Tour.
Earlier this month, the former castmates played shows at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. They'll continue their live-in concert Nashville Reunion Tour through October 18.
11 TV Shows You Can Stream With Country Stars: Reba, Lainey
When Hollywood actors went on strike for the first time in forty years last week, production on all sets stopped. That affected all country stars acting in TV or movies.
The strike will not affect reality shows like American Idol and The Voice, full of country music royalty helping young budding stars' dreams come true. Those shows will go on as scheduled, giving us all the chance to see Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay sitting in red chairs on The Voice as first-time coaches on the show.
According to the guidelines, SAG-AFTRA members cannot attend premieres, do interviews for completed work, go to awards shows, attend film festivals, or even promote projects on social media while the strike is in effect. They are also prohibited from attending conventions such as Comic-Con to promote any past or present work made under a SAG-AFTRA contract.
The strike will affect those country stars that have done a lot of acting in the past, including Tim McGraw, McEntire, Lainey Wilson, Randy Houser, and more.
We searched for what to watch on TV and streaming services during the strike, which could last for months. For you, we gathered some TV shows already on streaming services where you can watch your favorite country stars flexing their acting skills, talking about their career in documentaries, and more.
