Gwen Stefani talks about her husband, Blake Shelton, in the new issue of People magazine. Gwen is on the cover of the issue.

In the article, Stefani says, "I didn't see any of this coming with Blake." She added that the relationship and marriage are an "amazing gift" to experience a love like she has with Shelton for the first time.

Gwen and Blake met on The Voice in 2014 after both music stars were going through a divorce from their former spouses. Stefani said that he changed her life, and when she started to date him, "That's when I felt home." She added, "Like, 'Oh, this is where I'm supposed to be, with this guy."

Gwen also told the publication that when she was young, she would walk home from school and see her mom in her "shorts doing her gardening." She noted that she and her dad would be cutting the trees and making her pick up the branches. From that moment, she vowed that she would "never" have a tree at her house when she grew up.

However, now, Stefani and her husband Shelton are doing a lot of gardening at their home near Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Gwen now calls herself a "garden flower nerd." She said that when she and Blake get to Oklahoma, they are "constantly working" in the garden, and now she gets what her mom was doing back when she was a kid. Oklahoma is known for its history, culture, farming, and natural beauty. The state boasts the lush green hills of the Ozarks and the majestic red rock formations of the Wichita Mountains.

While Stefani admitted that she is not much of a dirt or bug person, she loves the beauty of Oklahoma, saying in part of her husband's home state, "You kind of feel like you're going into this vortex. Nature — and God — is all right there."
